entreinte (embrace), by pablo picasso. watercolours by the man is apparently a rarity.
this is a lousy rendition, i know. but i couldn't find a better picture online. someone kept the original painting in his bedroom in england, and is now auctioning it off for 100,000 pounds.
there's just a certain something-something captured here that is everything - beautiful, intense yet innocent.
and i rarely enjoy a picasso.
wish i had the money.
